Nine of Swordsby *Mr-Bluebird

For it's third anniversary Super Punch blog will release a (mega awesome) deck of tarot cards. John Struan, the creator of the site, chose 78 artists to each design/illustrate a card.

I was (absurdly) lucky enough to be invited to the party, and chose the Nine of Swords.
The Nine of Swords represents deception, bad dreams, suffering and depression; and how all these worries refuse to leave our minds at night and eventually keep us awake for longer than we wanted to.

I thought it would be fun to, instead of making it about an adult's pains and fears, to make it about a child's.
